And, two months later…..

The shoppe is still in the process of redecorating….keep tweaking the design, so it’s taking a lot longer than anticipated.  We did things a little backwards.  We’ve just finalized our new logo, etc which should have come first!!!  Soooo excited!!!

Lucky + Lucky is designing our new logo and look!  Melanie totally “gets” us and what we’re about.

Two Sisters Knitting Nook in downtown Newnan was celebrating their birthday with a fab cake.  They are sooo much fun!!!!  Really wish we could play with them every day.  Anyway, here is their cake which included Chipa, the sheep named by Sweet Sensations staff because she reminded them of a chocolate chip (?).

The other “yarn” cake of the week incorporated the birthday girls love of fabric, doo dads, coupons, recycling, etc for her surprise 40th.

StudioWed is pleased to announce their inaugural event,

“The WeddingExperience,” on May 2, 2010.

Regional wedding experts and area vendors
will meet engaged couples at The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead in Atlanta for
an afternoon of inspiration. The event, which will guide couples in
planning their perfect day, will feature seminars, guest
speakers (including the fabulous event designer Tara Guerard who will be signing her new book), an interactive lunch, and will close with a cocktail mixer.

The event will be held on Sunday, May 2 from 11:00am – 6:00pm at the
Ritz-Carlton in Buckhead. Admission is $30 per person or $50 for
couples.

Attendees will also have the chance to win a three-night
vacation to Excellence Punta Cana, a luxury beachfront resort in the
Dominican Republic courtesy of Vacation Express.

One of our favorite things, at Sweet Sensations, is creating first birthday cakes.  We hand made the little monkey, out of sugar, to coordinate with Cayson’s adorable birthday outfit.  His mother, kindly, sent us some photos to share.  Cayson knows how to eat cake!

Enough of this poking around…let’s get down to business!

Grace Ormonde Wedding Style magazine has been my favorite magazine for years!!  It was a stand out among all magazines with it’s extra large size, black & white cover and stunning content.  It seemed like an art book that should be displayed on the coffee table.

It was beyond exciting to have one of our cakes selected to appear in the fabulous magazine in 2007-08!!!

Even more excitement…Grace now has a book coming out that has the wedding industry all a Twitter(literally).  Just can’t imagine what it will be….I just know it will be incomparable!  Would love, to finally meet her in person at the book signing party.

Thank you, Grace, for a beautiful magazine, can NOT wait to see what’s to come on the book tour!

Stationers!!!  A shindig for you!!  It’s time to unit and inspire one another!

So excited that Papered Wonders has taken the initiative to bring the fabulous paper industry of the Atlanta area together…..it’s so important for industry peers to share and support one another.  It strengthens the group as individuals and a whole.

As a director on the board of the Southeast Retail Baker’s Association, I live and preach the sharing of ideas and supporting our fellow bakers for the good of all.  There have been many of us in emergency situations when we were able to call on fellow members to bail us out.

The main goal of all us business owners is to serve our clients in the best way we can by having a happy end.  What goes around, comes around.  When you support a peer in need you are supporting your industry.  It makes everyone look good.

I, strongly, urge everyone in the Atlanta paper industry to attend this get together…get to know your peers (yes, your competition)…you’ll be able to be of better service to your clients by steering them to another professional that fits their style/needs better than you.

A couture linen for your cake table can make all the difference in the look of the cake.  If you’re spending the money for a beautifully custom designed cake you don’t want it sitting on a plain, white banquet tablecloth!

Brides come have breakfast at Studio Wed in midtown, then be driven around the city to see some of Atlanta’s top wedding venues!  Atlantic Limousine will do the navigating from venue to venue for you….five dates to choose from, or see all!

It’s NOT a wedding, but it’s NOT a typical bridal show.  You’ll witness a “wedding”,  see four different style vignettes with food to try and much more!  Sweet Sensations is participating in the Southern Glam and Enchanted Forest and we’re sooo excited about both designs!!

The vision for the Enchanted Forest is being brought to life by Danny of  The Savage Garden….it will be as if you’re a fairy coming home!  You will feel like you belong in the forest and it will, definitely, bring a smile to your face.

Aesthetic floral & event artistry is creating the Southern Glam vignette with a beautiful, soft look.  Picturing bright sunshine with bling!
