Brides come have breakfast at Studio Wed in midtown, then be driven around the city to see some of Atlanta’s top wedding venues!  Atlantic Limousine will do the navigating from venue to venue for you….five dates to choose from, or see all!

It’s NOT a wedding, but it’s NOT a typical bridal show.  You’ll witness a “wedding”,  see four different style vignettes with food to try and much more!  Sweet Sensations is participating in the Southern Glam and Enchanted Forest and we’re sooo excited about both designs!!

The vision for the Enchanted Forest is being brought to life by Danny of  The Savage Garden….it will be as if you’re a fairy coming home!  You will feel like you belong in the forest and it will, definitely, bring a smile to your face.

Aesthetic floral & event artistry is creating the Southern Glam vignette with a beautiful, soft look.  Picturing bright sunshine with bling!

There is a great list of talented vendors involved in this project including Mirabel Press, Ellyb events, Sandi Spells, A Divine Events, Studio 25 Productions and so many more.  You won’t want to miss out on it!  the Not Wedding….found out more about it!

Get Married, a multimedia company based in Atlanta, had a launch party last monday for the magazine that has already published two issues.  We had the honor of recreating their logo for a cake which was duplicated and blinged up a bit.  Here are some pro photos and some fun photos with the cake taken in the photobooth….

The fabulous wedding gown designer Heidi Elnora is debuting her 2010 collection on Friday, February 19 at the Bill Lowe Gallery to benefit the  Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Sweet Sensations has the honor of designing a cake with the ballgown worn by Heidi at her wedding!  We can NOT wait for you to see it!!

Sweet Sensations had the extreme honor of receiving the first place votes of our industry peers in the first, separate, cake competition for the NACE Event Design Trends!!!!

The gorgeous “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend”  Matthew Christopher gown from Etain was the initial inspiration for the cake and I Do Linens took the ruffle element from the cake to design the stunning, couture tablecloth!  Tamara’s talent is a true inspiration, thank you!

We are sooo excited to be participating in the NACE competition with our Atlanta industry peeps and this is the first time they’re having a separate award for the cake tables.  Last year’s entries by the catering companies were AMAZING!!  The public has an opportunity to go see these incredible tables, so register to come see what’s hot!

We are constantly asked if we watch “Cake Boss“…of course!  Buddy is a favorite of ours.  He’s nice as can be and gives his time to our baker’s group.

The star attraction of the Amerian Retail Bakery Exposition, in Charlotte, was Buddy Valastro and crew from Carlo’s Bakery of Cake Boss fame.

They built, along with the local culinary students, a life size NASCAR “car”…..2500 cakes, complete with an engine under the hood!

While the Carlo’s Bakery gang was out at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, the front fender of the “cake” fell off because the convention hall was too warm.  They stayed up until 3:00AM repairing and finishing it in time for the morning opening.

Joe Gibbs was the keynote speaker for the convention and as a NASCAR team owner, Buddy showed off the “car”…..Joe was pretty impressed, especially under the hood.

All of Sweet Sensation’s cake are custom designed for the individual.  We don’t want our special clients to have a cake others have had…if the grocery store does it, we don’t.

We have also found so many do need a cake designed and want to “see” what it is going to look like before ordering.  Sweet Sensations is now offering a website for brides to order online exactly what they’d like.  They’re simple cakes, all white on white, with a variety of designs and decorations available.

Minette Rushing’s Custom Cakes of Savannah is launching a site, A Savannah Wedding Cake, in conjunction with our….her brilliant idea!

Each cake will still be made to order with the same care as all our custom cakes.  The bride will not come to the shoppe to meet with us, personally, which is the largest difference.  Any color deviation or a needed consultation will revert the order to a custom design.
