Deco Smouse wedding

The Smouse/Cooper reception was held at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center with catering by Making Memories.  Unfortunately, I didn’t get a photo of the fabulous centerpieces done by the event planner, Lara, of Cameo Events.

The cake topper was commissioned by the bride and groom which was two blown glass dragons…it’s hard to see in the photo.  You can see the gorgeous watercolor, done by the groom’s  grandmother, of the orchids.  Orchids that you can see  on the cake are sugarpaste  made by Sweet Sensations with the ring of orchids around the bottom of the top tier representing flames.  This couple had vision!

Deco Mr. Bonkers

Zachary celebrated his second birthday with balls!  We were putting a juggling clown on the cake and got a little carried away creating Mr. Bonkers….here is his debut, the cake and the cookies to match.

Deco ISAC Open House

The International Sugar Art Collection used to be my second home.  It is the home to the wonderful Nicholas Lodge school where I learned how to do the cakes and sugar work we do at Sweet Sensations.  I truly miss the delicious lunches Scott makes for classes and the wealth of knowledge Nick shares.  The classes are worth three times the amount charged for them…there isn’t an instructor anywhere who can hold a candle to Nick!!!

Christina Banner (National Gingerbread Competition Grand Prize winner) demonstrating some great techniques and promoted her new book.

Christina and her beautiful gingerbread houses!

Thank you ISAC for a fun filled, idea packed day!!!

Deco Christmas!

Had to throw on a Christmas cake since it’s not on the website, still.  Of course, everything on it is edible…box, holly…

Hope everyone isn’t getting too stressed out this year….just take the time to enjoy the holidays.
